Summer is running out, but days are still hot here in the sunny Italy. Today I want to share with you just a couple of shoots I've made the last week. You know, I like discover new nail polishes. Actually, I've already shown you some Astra nail polishes, do you remember? Astra is an italian brand located in Umbria (we call this region the heart of Italy, and it's a very beautiful place). Last Spring I've found the new Astra line in my neighbourhood retailer, but I didn't trust the white one, called Neige (how romantic!) because I was afraid it would have been too sheer for my taste.

L'estate sta finendo, ma qui a Roma fa ancora un caldo belluino. Ecco perché oggi vi mostro un nuovissimo acquisto dal rinfrescante nome di Neige della linea Gel Expert di Astra.
Vi ho già mostrato alcuni smalti di questa azienda, ma per chi non la conoscesse, Astra è una marca nostrana che ha sede nel cuore della meravigliosa Umbria (che più passa il tempo e più scopro di amare). La scorsa primavera ho scovato la nuova linea Gel Expert nel negozio sotto casa, ma non ho preso il bianco tememndo che fosse troppo trasparente per i miei gusti (o calce, o niente!).
Che. Tragico. Equivoco!

Last week, my NPA pal Simona from Light Your Nails showed us this beautiful nail polish and what a surprise has been to me discovering that it truly was a matte chalk white polish!
I loved it at the first pic and I purchased it the very next day!
I must admit that the first layer has been a little bit tricky, but the second one has fixed all the bugs. Pure. Perfection! This is the white nail polish I've ever dreamed about! I'm SO happy and satisfied I've bought a second bottle today. Just in case, you know.
In my pictures you can see two coats of Astra Gel Expert #02 Neige.

La scorsa settimana l'impagabile Simona di Light Your Nails ci ha mostrato questa meraviglia, e quale sorpresa è stato scoprire che si trattava non solo di un bianco gesso, ma anche di uno smalto opaco! Non me lo sono fatto ripetere due volte e ne ho acquistato una boccetta il giorno dopo.
Ammetto che la prima passata non è stata delle più rassicuranti (ansia a manetta!), ma grazie al cielo la seconda ha livellato ogni imperfezione. Il paradiso. Questo è quello che cerco in uno smalto bianco! Mi è piaciuto così tanto da prenderne una seconda boccetta giusto oggi. Così. non si sa mai...

I don't know if you have tried an Astra nail polish yet, but if you have the chance, do it. This brand has insanely improved the quality of its nail polishes. This white is perfect for nail art as watermarble, gradient and such, because matte nail polishes dry very quickly and they are a must have for a NPA.

Se non avete ancora provato uno smalto Astra, vi consiglio di farlo. Quest'azienda ha fatto grandi passi per migliorare la qualità dei propri prodotti, degli smalti in particolare. Questo bianco è un imprescindibile base per gradient, watermarble e via dicendo, perché gli smalti opachi asciugano prestissimo e si dimezzano i tempi.
